SNAKE MOUNTAIN was unhurried along the inside early on, angled out and advanced three wide approaching the stretch, dug in when set down for the drive, finished determinedly from the outside and was up on the line, driving. CLASSIC ENDEAVOR raced with the pace along the inside while in hand, drew clear on the second turn, took a clear lead past the eighth pole and dug in gamely while drifting out late, just missing. GROUND STORM raced close up outside while in hand, rallied three wide on the second turn and stayed on well to the finish. MY MAN RYAN was rated along inside, saved ground and had no response when roused. IRON CHANCELLOR was outrun early, raced three wide and had no rally. COUNTRY ONLY was a bit rank leaving the gate but quickly showed in front, set the pace for a half mile and tired after the opening three quarters. |
