MATTS ON BROADWAY sprinted clear early, widened to take a commanding lead on the turn, drifted out into the six path entering the lane, remained well clear to the wire under urging despite failing to switch leads through the stretch. GOLDEN PET trailed on the backstretch, remained well back to the lane, rallied along the rail through the drive to gain the place late without threatening the winner. PAY RAISE chased the winner racing three wide to the stretch, went evenly late and was outfinished for second. MY FRIEND HENRY raced within range from the two path to the stretch but did not produce a late bid. OUT TO GET YA raced four wide while well back on the turn, had a mild rally without threatening. LEADING PROSPECTOR was never a factor. ASK SKIP'S TIGRESS showed little. SUMMER'S CHASE chased the pace from the rail to midway on the turn before faltering. |

THE RUNNING SIOUX settled well off the early pace, split horses while advancing in upper stretch, rallied under urging and was up in the final stride while finishing on his inside lead. O. K. CARBY dueled along the rail throughout and just missed in a game effort. SINGLE TRACK dueled outside of the runner up throughout and was outfinished. DONT TELL THE KIDS chased the dueling leaders from the rail to the stretch but went only evenly through the drive. FORBES HALO raced three wide in the second flight to the stretch before weakening. SWEET AND FRIENDLY was never a factor. NORTHERN BROADWAY showed little. |
