MY FORBIDDEN PAST never far back to the turn, bid three wide to mid turn, was bumped on her hind end by SANTIAGO ROJO leaving the quarter pole, recovered and rallied through the drive and took over late. SANTIAGO ROJO was allowed to settle, made a run inside on the turn, had to swerve sharply to avoid COURT RECORDER when that one broke down, bumped the winner on the hind end, recovered in upper stretch and was closing late. TEANAWAY ROSE set the pace to the stretch, responded and edged clear after COURT RECORDER broke down but tired in the final furlong. HIT THE PRESS had no speed, commenced a bid inside on the turn, also had to swerve to avoid COURT RECORDER at the quarter pole but recovered and was coming on late. CLASSIC ENCORE pressed the pace but tried to lug out all through the turn then weakened in the drive. CASSIE ANNE was allowed to settle, was outside the winner on the turn, came four wide into the stretch but had little to offer. COURT RECORDER stalked the pace to the turn, was rallying three wide and looming a presence but broke down just before the quarter pole. A steward's inquiry into the incident did not alter the results. |

CLEAR CREEK CANYON dueled with the winner from the rail to the stretch, responded in upper stretch, was erratic and drifted out, repeatedly bumping and brushing BRIDGE BUILDER to deep stretch, got a head in front very late but was outgamed. WILY WALTER lagged to the turn, advanced four wide to the stretch, drifted inward at the three sixteenths then came on late to close willingly to the line. LOG ON never far back to the turn, tried to rally three wide to the stretch, had to check very briefly off of WILY WALTER'S heels then finished evenly. NORTHERN GAME tracked the leaders two wide to the turn but tired through the drive. WEEKEND POW WOW stalked the pace to the stretch then gave out. There were two incidents that the stewards looked at in the stretch. HAWAIIAN LYON raced up from between horses after the break to prompt the pace, forged to the front leaving the furlong pole, drew clear but was all out to hold. GIVE AWAY JOE lacked good early speed, advanced four wide on the turn and finished steadily. ROCKET THRUSTER had no speed, saved ground on the turn then remained inside for the stretch and finished willingly. A PIZZA FOR NICK was off a bit slow but quickly caught stride to take a clear lead in the opening quarter, maintained his advantage into the stretch but slackened in the final furlong. CASH CREEK stalked the pace three wide for a half and gave out. STRANGER AMONG US was forwardly placed from the outside on the backstretch, drifted wide into the lane and failed to rally. OLYMPIC MIRACLE was void of any early speed and finished in a non threatening rally. MAVERIKI had only brief speed. PHONE SCRAMBLER lacked good early speed, raced three wide to the stretch and came up empty. |

CALIFO pressured the early pace from the inside, forged to the front on the second turn, drew clear nearing the furlong pole but was all out to last. HOPSO (IRE) was never too far back from the rail, shifted three wide on the second turn and finished in a steady rally. KNOWMEE lagged far back early, saved ground on the second turn while well back, angled out for the drive and finished full of run. REFERRAL was not asked for speed early, came through inside on the second turn to reach contention then lost some of his punch in the late stages. MIRACLE FLIGHT stalked the pace from the outset, offered a bid four wide into the lane and flattened out. WILLIE OR WONTIE lacked the needed rally. MAIL CARRIER settled early, saved ground throughout and finished in a mild late rally. POLITICAL STORM dueled the winner two wide to the second turn and faded. MIDDAY SON (NZ) lacked early speed or the needed closing response. DART PARADE (ARG) showed little in a dull effort. CRYSTALAIRE was forwardly placed for a half and came up empty. COMET RETURNS was through after six furlongs and was eased in the stretch but walked off. |

OTTER BE RUNNING stalked the leaders from the rail, finished steadily but was not a serious factor. HOLLYWOOD CHAOS broke slow and lagged early, came three wide on the turn and finished willingly.
