EMERALDS unhurried while within striking distance, rallied when asked in the drive, finished well mid track and was along in time. KYLE'S SQUAW raced closest to BEE MY SELECTO from early on, ranged up outside that one inside the final furlong, took over a sixteenth out and then was no match for the winner late. BEE MY SELECTO got clear and to the rail early to set the pace, maintained the lead until inside the furlong grounds and weakened late. TAYLOR'S BLUES bothered at the break when NELL'S MINER came out and CAROLS CRYSTAL came in, recovered to settle off the rail and then improved position. NELL'S MINER came out at the break brushing TAYLOR'S BLUES and then was outrun. DANCING CAJUN devoid speed, was not a threat. ZESTY DANCE raced inside and weakened. A PACHEE GIRL was never dangerous. CAROLS CRYSTAL came in at the break brushing with TAYLOR'S BLUES, raced close up for a half and gave way. MARY DARLIN was always outrun. |

DENTON COUNTY hustled from along the rail to engage inside INTEGRITY before the turn, gained the edge a quarter out and proved best while kept to a drive. INTEGRITY got clear early, was challenged from the inside by DENTON COUNTY down the backstretch, got headed, fought back but had no final kick. DOCTOR D. K. settled off the rail and closed mildly. VIRTUAL NIGHTMARE wide early, crossed to the rail around the turn, continued inside for the drive and could make little impact. BLUE BUG devoid speed, improved position. BOYS REVENGE forwardly placed off the rail, was asked for run nearing the drive and then flattened out. GIUSEPPE'S MAJESTY back early, rallied wide. LITTLE TOOLIGHT steadied between foes just after reaching the main track, recovered then was outrun. WESLEY DAVID showed little. TURKEY CREEK always outrun. CATHEDRAL TOWER faded. HALE THE BOLD showed early foot and then retreated. |
