ON THE SEVERN came out at the start, was straightened and showed the way into the first turn, continued to set a soft pace, long stretch duel, gained nod closest to the inside. HOWARD'S CALLING pressed the winner outside that one, challenged when turning for home, long drive, lost nod. PARTY PLANS cut off at the start, attempted to get out a bit in the first turn, raced inside of several rivals, lacked a serious bid in the drive to finish best of the rest. BROWNSTOWN void of early foot, improved position without posing a serious threat. LATEXO failed to menace. D E INTIMIDATOR within striking distance for five furlongs off the inside, gave way in the far turn. HUNTERWOOD POINT stalked the pace four wide, faded. |

CARR DE BON BON well clear for five furlongs, turned back a bid late in the second turn, clear again the final furlong under steady handling. PERSONAL DREAM chased the winner for five eighths, tried that one midway on the second turn, continued to pressure that rival into the stretch, could not match strides the final furlong, held the place. MEAN JEAN IPOCK settled off the pace, roused for the drive, unable to make up any ground on the winner, getting to the runner up. NO HONEY went evenly in lacking a late response. TORMENTA DEL GATA also lacked a bid in the drive. MAHLIQUE tired from early efforts. WOOTSIE DEAN remained back throughout. SANTA'S ELF dwelt at the start, raced well back early as result, staged a mild advance onto the backstretch, gave way in the second turn. |

CORRIZO CREEK prompted the leader for five furlongs, took over into the far turn, came in a bit under a right-handed stick a furlong out, came in again to tighten up the runner up late, edged clear at the wire. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AND A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF DOCTOR TURKO AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH, THE RESULT WAS ALLOWED TO STAND. DOCTOR TURKO lacked early foot, moved closer third quarter, waited briefly in traffic late in the second turn, got through, steadied late in tight quarters while along the rail. DRILLMASTER within striking distance outside, lacked a winning bid. SHOW THE JUDGE lacked speed, set down into the stretch, failed to muster any late gain. SQUIRMLIKEAWORM also lacked a response in the drive. ALOTA GREEN broke slow, four wide in the second turn, came up empty in the drive. SECRETSTOFORGET cleared early, set the pace for five furlongs, gave way when headed by the winner. RED AT MORN finished after a half, well back. |
