MINERS AMERICANSON set the pace along the inside, repulsed a bid by LASSIE'S STAR on the turn, drew clear into the stretch, could not hold the winner late but held on for the place. LASSIE'S STAR closest to the pace in the two path, challenged the leader on the turn but tired in the final furlong. CHARGE N' REASON outrun early while off the inside, went evenly in the drive. REVOLVER reserved early, raced in the five path on the turn and was no real threat. JIMMY'S BEST outrun early, could not menace. GOLD SNEAKER outspirnted early, raced four wide on the turn and tired.
