Race Summary

U. S. BLUES set all of the pace while running in the three and four path, drifted out in mid stretch, was fully extended to add to the margin late. STICKY CAT pressed the pace early from the inside, could not get to and was no match for the winner, was clearly second best. MERCY MERCY MERCY was well placed early on the outside, ran evenly and had no rally, was no threat to the top two. BETTOR BEST was void of early speed, improved position in the stretch but was no threat. BRAVE STEP was in a good stalking position on the inside, faltered in the stretch and dropped back. RAW WIN failed to menace.

FIESTY AMBER stalked the pace on the outside while never far back, rallied in the stretch but found her best stride late and was gaining. PEPPY MINT stalked the pace while never far back on the inside, was angled out and rallied into the stretch, split horses late and was all out to prevail in a long drive. FREE TO RUN was well placed early on the outside, rallied along side the winner in mid stretch, could not get by that one but gamely held the place. Race Summary

THE BIG MACAW was unhurried early while on the outside, rallied into the stretch, wore down the leaders and drew clear while fully extended. OHIO dueled for the lead and set the pace from the outside, weakened in late stretch but was still second best. HITTHERHODE dueled for the lead and set the pace while saving ground, gave way in the stretch and dropped back. ONE MORE BRAGG was void of early speed, improved position in the stretch but was no threat. FIVE STRING BANJO was in a good stalking position in mid pack, had no rally. STORMIN JOHNNY was in a good stalking position in mid pack, was no factor. SEUL COUNT flashed brief speed before giving way and dropping back. R. S. BUCKS was no threat and showed little. MORNING STAR PIKE flashed brief before stopping and fading. CATS' CLAWS failed to menace. BINALONGLONGDAY was no threat. BOURBON JACK failed to menace.
