THINK BIG was quickest and set the pace to the turn, responded and edged clear
to mid stretch then was under vigorous handling to the line. THOUGHTFUL KING
stalked the winner three wide to the stretch, responded when roused but could
not make an impact while inching clear for second. WALTZAROUND MOSCOW tracked
the pace down the backstretch while keeping track of FAST N FOREMOST who was
inside of him and racing erratically, was inside nearing the turn, checked back
while trying to get out into the turn, remained inside to the stretch but
finished evenly late. ROARAR stalked the pace three wide to the stretch but
lacked a closing response. EUGENIUS EUGENE had no speed and saved ground to no
avail. FAST N FOREMOST was hustled early but became erratic and was steadied
leaving the five eighths, continued to be rank and dropped back to last and was
not a factor. A steward's inquiry into the backstretch run determined that FAST
N FOREMOST caused his own problems and no action was taken.

was outsprinted early, chased the pace, swung four wide into the stretch and had
a mild late bid. LORD PACAL (IRE) had no speed, saved ground on the turn, made a
bid into the stretch, could not make an impact late then pulled up lame
following the finish and was vanned off. PERFECT HIGH had no speed and was not a
factor. RUSTY MAN was always outrun. EXTRA KICK stalked the pace to the turn,
came three wide to the stretch then tired and was not asked late.

clear to the stretch, responded to steady urging, drifted out late and weakened.

stalked the leaders from off the rail to the stretch and weakened. ROBERTA'S
MATT bumped with FAITH OF THE WEST at the start and settled in the back of the
pace, raced three wide on the turn and failed to rally. FAITH OF THE WEST was
bumped between horses at the start, lacked good early speed, raced four wide to
the stretch then had no response. I'M JACKIE'S BOY bumped with FAITH OF THE WEST
at the start and saved ground to no avail. POTROAST AND GRAVY broke a bit slow
but quickly reached contention in the opening quarter but had little to offer
once on the turn. BOLD GRILL pressed the dueling leaders three wide to mid turn
and stopped.

| Race Summary |

FANCY M. D. moved up inside after the break and outraced NORTHERN TIDE to the
turn, disposed of that rival nearing the stretch to take a clear advantage,
extended it to mid stretch then just did last. CONTRADICTION lacked good early
speed, advanced inside on the turn and into the stretch to reach contention,
shifted outside the winner in mid stretch then continued his bid and just failed
to get up. JONES RESERVE settled early, raced three wide on the turn and
finished in a mild rally without bothering the top two. NORTHERN TIDE prompted
the winner from the outside to the turn and gradually faded. MADEITTOTHEMOON was
permitted to settle early, raced three wide on the turn but failed to reach
serious contention. I'M AWESOME AGAIN stalked the winner from the rail to mid
turn and came up empty. CAP FERRAT (ARG) showed little. KING OF RULERS had only
brief speed.

TANZER tracked WHITE CEDAR from the outset, moved to that rival two wide on the
second turn, forged to the front nearing the furlong pole, edged clear and held
driving. SHOOT YEAH was always forwardly placed, launched his bid three wide on
the second turn, finished steadily but could not bother the winner. WHITE CEDAR
set all of the pace from the inside to the top of the stretch and faded.
BLIZZARD OF OZ raced unhurried early, was two wide throughout and lacked a solid
rally. ALY RALLY saved ground to no avail. MARQUEE AFFAIR trailed to the stretch
then finished in a belated rally. STEELEON SEASON showed little.
