PROPER PARADISE, outrun near the inside for a half, split horses leaving the
furlong grounds three wide and closed determinedly inside of front-running
ASHLAR to wear that one down late. ASHLAR tracked the pace early, cruised to the
front just after a half, opened a clear advantage, then had no mishap while
failing to last. LEE GAGE settled near the inside early, came out seven wide for
the drive and was going well at the end. SHEIKH'NNOTSTIRRED, in front after the
start, quickly settled within striking distance four wide and weakened late.
ANN'S EMBLEM followed the leaders in a striking position five or six wide into
the final furlong and flattened out when the test came. REFLECTION BAY, outrun
for a half, came out seven wide for the stretch run and offered a minor gain.
AUNT IKE edged in behind horses early, raced in contention to the stretch and
weakened. RED RAGE was done after a half. RELIGIOUS sprinted clear soon after
the start, maneuvered near the inside, made the pace for a half and gave way.
WITCH TRADITION faded early.

LOST RIVERS MOJO, checked in behind horses while along the inside entering the
first turn, settled in hand, continued to save ground while advancing on the far
turn, came out and split foes three wide leaving the furlong grounds and was
hard ridden to be along in time. COWBOY COURT, bumped soundly at the start by
LOST IN TRANSIT when that one ducked in, went up soon after to contest the pace
outside of APPLE KRISP, raced on about even terms, put a head in front at the
furlong pole, then wasn't quite good enough in a game try. FORTH AND FOREVER
tracked the pace three or four wide, reached the front briefly between calls in
deep stretch but couldn't sustain the needed momentum. SPARK OF HUMOR, unhurried
early, raced inside for six furlongs, came out six wide for the stretch run and
offered a minor gain. LOST IN TRANSIT ducked in at the start bumping COWBOY
COURT, was outrun for six furlongs, came out seven wide entering the stretch but
lacked a late account. APPLE KRISP gained a slim lead near the inside early,
battled with COWBOY COURT, showed the way into the upper stretch and faltered.

WILD BERTIE vied for the lead at once while outside of SOUTHERN ORDER, gained a
narrow lead, was headed from the rail by that one a quarter-mile out, regained
the advantage in the upper stretch, kicked clear and was kept to her task.
SOUTHERN ORDER, in front along the inside after the start, battled with the
winner, headed WILD BERTIE a quarter-mile out but couldn't match strides in the
drive as second best. FRENCH ACCOUNT, outsprinted early, moved behind horses on
the turn, came out four or five wide for the drive and slowly was gaining at the
end. BEST FOOT FORWARD, bumped at the start by EVENING SHADOWS, was outrun for a
half, came out six or seven wide for the drive and offered a slight gain.
EVENING SHADOWS came out bumping BEST FOOT FORWARD at the start, then failed to
rally in an even effort. ONE LUCKY STORM tracked the pace four wide into the
upper stretch and flattened out. GALILEO'S STAR, well placed in behind the
leaders to the stretch, weakened thereafter. LADY OFFENSE raced inside most of
the way and wasn't a factor. SHINEUP THE SILVER was outrun.

SISTER STAR tracked the leaders from early on while three or four wide under
light restraint, edged in behind rivals on the far turn, came out five wide
entering the stretch and drove clear late. PRETTY JANE, never far back, moved
inside, saved ground while edging closer approaching the stretch, angled outside
the winner to be five or six wide for the drive and was second best. BORDER
BLUES, outrun for six furlongs while four wide, came wider when advancing into
the stretch and improved position while not a serious threat. GYM KID gained a
clear advantage near the inside early, expanded it a bit on the backstretch,
made the pace to the far turn, was headed from the outside by BAYANI, then
weakened gradually. BAYANI, never far back, made a sweeping five wide move on
the far turn, reached the front briefly approaching the stretch but faltered
when straightened for the drive. LIFTING THE VEIL failed to rally in an even
effort. CHIC JOY, reserved early and four wide, came out seven wide entering the
upper stretch and failed to offer a closing account. DANGEROUS GIRL never was
prominent. MOON FEATHER tired early. KAY'S DAUGHTER chased front-running GYM KID
four wide until nearing the end of the backstretch and tired.

SIPHONIZER, in front just after the break, allowed the lead to WESTERN ROAR,
tracked that one four wide, inched to challenge nearing the final quarter, took
over, then won going away under hand urging. STALKERAZZI followed the leaders in
a striking position four wide, loomed a solid threat entering the stretch but
couldn't menace the winner in the drive as second best. WESTERN ROAR moved up
three wide to gain the advantage early, made the pace for nearly a half, lost it
to the winner and gradually weakened. FAST TRAIN hopped while breaking slowly in
a tangle, bobbled when landing, rushed up inside to gain a forward position,
held on well for a half and weakened thereafter. MAN OF CONQUEST bore out on GOT
THE GOODS at the start, forced that one out on J. D. CAT, was checked, raced
four or five wide and never challenged. GOT THE GOODS, jolted at the start by
MAN OF CONQUEST and forced out on J. D. CAT, also was checked, raced five or six
wide and failed to menace. J. D. CAT, bumped at the start and steadied, moved
inside but was outrun.

JUSTLIKEDAWG, reserved along the inside from early on, saved ground most of the
way, rallied from the rail, took over, opened a clear lead and held sway under
urging. GALLO DEL BAR (CHI) exchanged bumps with SPRUCE HERO after breaking a
half-step slow, was unhurried for six furlongs, advanced from between rivals
five wide into the last eighth and finished well. CAMP DAVID, never far back,
raced near the inside between foes, eased out six or seven wide for the drive
and offered a mild gain. MAJOR LEAGUER contested the pace early while inside of
SHAKE THE BANK, continued inside when eased back of that one, angled three or
four wide into the stretch but flattened out late. SHAKE THE BANK moved up
outside to contest the pace early, battled with MAJOR LEAGUER, gained command
and drew off approaching the stretch, then faltered the last eighth. MISTER
DEUX, well placed near the inside, swung out four wide for the drive and
weakened. SPRUCE HERO leaned in at the start exchanging bumps with GALLO DEL BAR
(CHI), was outrun to the stretch while racing just outside the winner, came to
the extreme outside to be 10 wide for the final furlong and couldn't threaten
while drifting in steadily leaving the eighth pole. YOU'RE DARN TOOTIN made a
mild bid on the far turn, was seven wide into the lane and faltered. HOT HAND,
between foes three or four wide for six furlongs, weakened thereafter. FROST
WARNING stalked the pace four wide for three-quarters and gave way.

SIR SHACKLETON attended the pace at once while near the inside between rivals,
inched to a slight advantage entering the turn, was headed about the
three-furlong pole from the outside by BWANA CHARLIE, regained the top position
entering the upper stretch while two wide, then was ridden hard the remainder
and kept to his task to slightly increase his margin in a game effort.
COURAGEOUS ACT drifted out a bit at the break, quickly recovered, followed the
leaders within easy striking distance five wide on the backstretch, made a
menacing run outside the winner into the upper stretch and wasn't a match for
SIR SHACKLETON late while clearly superior to the rest. BWANA CHARLIE forced the
pace at once while three abreast, put a head in front just before going a
quarter, surrendered to QUICK ACTION from the inside, regained the advantage
three furlongs out, lost it to the winner leaving the turn and tired. HONOLUA
STORM moved inside upon going a quarter, swung out four wide into the stretch
but was empty. QUICK ACTION vied for the lead along the inside, gained a slight
edge before going a half but tired approaching the stretch.

| Race Summary |
|---|
VICTOIRE BATAILLE came out at the start bumping SOUTHWEST CITY, angled in soon
after to press the pace, inched to the fore nearing the final quarter, drew
clear and was kept to her task. GOLDEN VICTRESS, bumped at the break, was never
far back, followed the leaders five wide and was slowly gaining at the end.
MYSTIFIED, within striking distance, advanced four or five wide into the stretch
and offered a mild gain. MOON DOLLY (GB), outrun inside for a half, came out
nine wide for the drive and was going well late. RIGHT MIX gained a clear
advantage inside early, made the pace for nearly a half and tired. GUIDE,well
placed in behind foes early, remained near the inside for the drive and
flattened out the last eighth. SOUTHWEST CITY bobbled at the start, was bumped
by VICTOIRE BATAILLE and forced out on GOLDEN VICTRESS, then tired upon going a
half. FINAL MARRIAGE raced forwardly between foes early, angled five wide into
the stretch and tired. ARGUING AGGIE never was close. BONANZA JELLYBEAN wasn't a
factor. KASTRIA broke slowly and was outrun.
