sway. POWER SERGE, outrun for a half while near the inside, came out in the
upper stretch, split horses four wide in the final furlong and was going well at
the end. KNUCKLEHEAD, within striking distance and five wide most of the way,
slowly was gaining in the final stages. THE RAIN IS GONE gained the lead inside
early, made the pace into the final furlong and weakened. CHRISTMAS TABLE,
outsprinted early, moved six wide into the stretch, made a run into the upper
stretch but couldn't sustain the needed momentum. ISN'T SHE GREAT, well placed
for a half while three or four wide, flattened out when straightened for the
drive. MARNIE'S WISH, sluggish early, moved inside and weakened leaving the
turn. MATTY FINE, close up between foes early, was checked at the
nine-sixteenths and eased back outside the leaders three or four wide, continued
forwardly for a half and weakened thereafter.

| Race Summary |
|---|
MARNIE'S HEIRLOOM gained the lead early, edged in two or three wide, made the
balance of the pace and lasted. ONE CHARMING DEVIL, never far back while inside,
eased out four or five wide approaching the stretch, leaned in at the
three-sixteenths pole and bumped SEAN'S BABY, then was slowly gaining at the
end. SEAN'S BABY, unhurried inside early, saved ground while rallying into the
lane, lacked room and was bumped for a stride by ONE CHARMING DEVIL at the
three-sixteenths pole, then failed to gain in the final furlong. BRAVE BOCO,
never far back, moved inside, swung out six wide leaving the second turn, loomed
a solid threat but lacked a final account. IDEAL SCENARIO, outrun early, raced
in behind foes, came out between horses seven wide for the drive and improved
position. STORMY SEASON went up early to press the winner three wide, raced
close up to the stretch and tired. UTINA wasn't a factor. POUT, four or five
wide, had no rally. CLASSIC BORN maneuvered in early, tracked the pace four wide
until approaching the stretch and faltered. PLAYMAKER raced forwardly for six
furlongs and weakened thereafter.
