| Footnotes
|
HANKY was hustled up to make the lead before a quarter, dug in when joined by SALTY SPENDER on the turn, matched strides with that one the length of the stretch and proved best in a game effort. SALTY SPENDER settled just off the leaders, engaged the winner on the turn, battled the balance of the trip and just missed. SNAP HOOK allowed to settle, offered a bid into the stretch then finished evenly. STRANDHILL was shuffled back at the start then closed some ground late. BEST OF THE DUCK well placed, lacked a closing response. DANCEOBEAHTHENIGHT made the lead a few strides out of the gate, set the pace for almost a quarter, remained a sharp factor into the stretch then weakened. NUMBER ONE SHEIKH had brief speed. ACTION TONIGHT bore out badly at the start then was never involved. STAR TIER trailed, pulled up lame through the wire and was vanned off. |
