B J'S STAR BUDGET was an early factor, forwardly placed throughout, finished wide and proved no match for the top two. DASHING DERBY had a tight start, raced in the middle of the field, saved ground around the final turn and lacked a late rally. EXTRA POCKETS raced in the back of the pack, came around both turns on the outside, improved position, but was no factor. PAW PAW'S PRIMO broke in at the start, raced near the back, moved up and finished evenly. COUNTRY LYRIC challenged for the early lead, then faded. TAMAAKAJO always raced near the back, finished wide and was no threat. PRINCE NUNTEA raced within striking distance, came around the first turn on the outside and retreated to the rear.
